MODIFIED TRIPLE CROWN at the DIRT TRACK at KCRP

Bakersfield, CA (July 30, 2021) — ‘The Dirt Track at KCRP’ is proud to announce the 2021 “SUNOCO Triple Crown Challenge” presented Motor City Buick GMC featuring the “Jerm ‘The Worm’ Memorial” on December 4th.

The “Triple Crown” will be three races held at the 1/3-mile clay oval at The Dirt Track at KCRP in Bakersfield on September 11th, December 3rd and December 4th

The first round of the Triple Crown will pay $1,500 to the Modified winner. The second and third rounds, on December 3rd and December 4th, will pay $2,000, and $3,000 respectively to the winners. All three races will pay a minimum $200 to start each A-Mod main event.

 

The final event of the Triple Crown on December 4th will be the “Jerm ‘The Worm’ Memorial”, named after Jeremy Smith, who passed away suddenly on December 4th, 2020.  Jeremy promoted and announced races around California, he was a huge racing fan and friend to many, this race is to celebrate Jeremy.

 

For the B-Mods, the Triple Crown will pay the event winners $1,000 on September 11th, $1,250 on December 3rd and $2,000 on December 4th, with minimum of $150 to start for the B-Mods main events.  

“We want to thank SUNOCO Race Fuels, Motor City GMC and all the companies that are supporting these three special events at KCRP”, stated KCRP’s Larry Collins.

The September 11th event will feature, Modifieds, B-Mods, and the So Cal Dwarf Car Association.  Gates open at 2pm, racing at 7:20pm.
