Max Ruml is excited to lead the Bakersfield Bandits into an historic homecoming this Saturday at Kern County Raceway. The Bandits were National Speedway league champions in 1976 and Saturday’s race is their first home match for 45 years. Ruml, impressed with the new speedway venue in Bakersfield, specifically requested to lead the Bandits team into their new era. It is hoped the team event this Saturday night April 24 versus the Perris Pirates will prove to be the catalyst of a full Speedway league in America with various venues involved in 2022.
Speedway fans from both Bakersfield and Perris will be making noise for their local team!
